The HTC Sensation is now officially in the Philippines with Smart offering the handset for free at Plan 3000 or you can get it from official retailers at a suggested retail price of Php31,990 while the Wildfire S goes for Php15,500.
That’s Php1k lower than our previous report of a Php33k SRP three days ago (probably a reaction to people’s feedback about the price; even the dealers did not know their own price as well until tonight).
HTC Sensation specs:
4.3 inches @ 540 x 960 pixels
1.2 GHz dual-core processor
Adreno 220 GPU
Qualcomm MSM 8260 Snapdragon
Gorilla glass display
HTC Sense v3.0 UI
1 GB storage, 768 MB RAM
up to 32GB via microSD, 8GB included
HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, WiFi hotspot
Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP
8MP autofocus camera, dual-LED flash
1080p @ 30fps video, stereo sound recording
GPS with A-GPS support
Li-Ion 1520 mAh
Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread)
The launch party at the Republiq is more like a fashion show (video coming up!) with a number of showbiz personalities ogling over their new HTC handsets (obviously given for free). It was less of a media launch so we didn’t get to have a Q&A (there is one slated for tomorrow early morning so I don’t think I can cover it).
