It wouldn’t be an Apple event
without CEO Tim Cook giving us a lowdown on how Apple’s been performing
lately, can it? The Apple head-honcho has posted some staggering stats
for the company’s sales performance from last year, with Tim saying that
“Apple has it’s feet firmly on the the post PC future.” Their revenues
show it – Tim says 76% of Apple’s revenue has come from post PC devices
(that includes iPads, iPhones and iPods), and has sold a staggering 315
million iOS devices last year, with 62 million of those sold in Q4 of
2011. 15.4 million iPads has been sold the last quarter. Impressive Mr.
Cook. Most impressive. What will this mean for the company’s notebook
line? At this point, it’s still up in the air, but one thing’s for sure –
Apple’s hedging their bets on iOS and the mobile space.
