Following the R6300, Netgear brings two new additions to its WiFi 802.11ac product family, including the R6200 WiFi router and the A6200 WiFi adapter. The former is a 802.11ac dual-band Gigabit wireless router. While its brother R6300 provides a combined WiFi speeds up to 1750 Mbps, the R6200 delivers 300 Mbps at 2.4Ghz 802.11n and 900 Mbps at 5Ghz 802.11ac for a combined speeds up to 1200Mbps.
The Netgear R6200 router has one USB port for accessing and sharing a USB storage or printer. It supports AirPrint and are DLNA-ready for wireless media streaming. The router has one WAN Gigabit LAN ports and four Gigabit LAN ports. It supports WPA/WPA2-PSK and WPS security, Advanced Quality of Service (QoS) and IPv6.
The A6200, on the other hand, is a WiFi 802.11ac adapter that allows you to upgrade existing PCs or laptops to support 802.11ac speed. It comes with swivel antennas for best performance and can be used with desktop docking station for flexible placement.
Both R6200 and A6200 are backward compatible to 802.11a/b/g/n. They are priced at $179.99 and $69.99, respectively.
