These days it’s hard to differentiate oneself in the LED monitor market. With display technology slowly advancing, the only way manufacturers can get a share of the market is through the design and the price.
AOC is known for having decent monitors at a fair and more affordable price range. What we have with us right now is AOC’s ultra-slim (and cryptically named) e2351Fh 23-inch LED monitor which has a nifty feature. Read on for our full review and see what surprise this monitor holds.
First thing I noticed about the e2341Fh when I opened the box was how slim it was. It’s only 10.6mm thin when some of your tablet devices can be thicker. The display monitor is light and was quite easy to set up, just attach the stem to the base and slide it into the display’s mini-stand.
The base of the monitor could use a bit more weight and girth for stability but it wouldn’t matter here considering how light the display already is for a 23-inch. What I’m concerned about is the stem which is made of plastic but then again, it will hold the display reassuringly due to its weight. With the way the stem is attached to the display, you can only adjust it vertically. If you wish to rotate it from side to side, you would need to adjust the whole setup.
At the back of this monitor you will see an HDMI, VGA and DVI ports as well as the AC port for the power (all cords are already supplied by the way). There’s also an earphone jack at the back if you wish to plug-in your speakers. Because of this port placement, you cannot wall mount this monitor without ample space behind it.
At the front there are touch panels on the bezel at the lower right portion of the display. The lightest touch will activate and lit up these menus and a little bit more will make the monitor wobble.
