The 7-inch Huawei MediaPad which we showed to you last month is now finally out in the market in time for your Christmas shopping. The world’s first 7-inch tablet that runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb will be retailing for P21,990 which is clearly not the sub-20k price they told us before.
Anyhow, if you haven’t seen or touched the Huawei MediaPad, it doesn’t look cheap at all to command that price. The sleek design and aluminum construction of this device can hold its own when put alongside its counterpart from other popular brands in the market. It also has an impressive IPS display (1280 x 800) that can playback full HD videos and supports HSPA+ which puts it among the short lists of local devices able to do so.
Other specs include a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera, an 8GB internal storage, miniHDMI port and a battery that could chug along for 6-hours.
