a-Jays One+ was made for Android, sort of

This latest iteration of the a-Jays One+ earphones now comes with a dedicated button on the cord along with a microphone so you can use it with your Android smartphone and control it with an app.
We’ve tried a number of a-Jays earphones in the past and I’m already confident of its build quality and sound performance. I actually tried this specific model back in February (costs Php1,799). This one is the more improved variant of that model.
The in-ear earphones come in the same elegant package as the other a-Jays in the line-up. It also includes additional earbuds with varying sizes (4 extra sets) from extra small to extra large.
The long, flat cord actually helps prevent the cable from being tangled with itself. It’s not really 100% tangle-free but when it does, it’s just easy to un-tangle them.

Been impressed with a-Jays earphones before and the a-Jays One+ still maintained the reputation. The rich, deep bass is very prominent but not over-powering. Playing “Moves like Jagger” and “Sexy and I know It” exposes that powerful bass without drowning the entire song. Bruno Mars’ “Lazy Song” on acoustic is still very clean although the guitar sounds a bit more hollow than usual. Same with Maddi Jane’s rendition of Price Tag.
If you’re listening to Audible or podcasts a lot, the a-Jays One+ works pretty well too. Sound isolation is effective most of the time.
The one-button control on the cable allows for music playback control – pause, start, next on double-click or previous on triple-click. The button is a bit too close to the end of the cable but that’s because the mic needs to be positioned near the mouth when you wear the earphones.
What actually made this earphones fit for Android smartphones or tablets is that you can download the Jays Headset Control from the Android App Market.
It’s nothing fancy. Just a basic app to control the earphones from your handset.
The a-Jays One+ has a suggested retail price of Php3,099. You can check out their online store here. I find it way expensive though considering the original a-Jays One retails for only Php1,799.
