Recently at the Toy Industry Association’s 109th American International Toy Fair in New York, the Oregon Scientific launched a new tablet designed for kids, the MEEP! Tablet. This tablet is suitable for kids who are six years old and above.
The MEEP! tablet features a 7-inch Neonode zForce touchscreen display encased in a toughened housing with a silicon rubber sleeve. It runs on Android 4.0 and is Wi-Fi enabled. The internal storage is 4GB with an SD media card expansion slot that goes for up to 64GB of additional memory. There is also a USB connectivity and audio out jack for headphones that includes G-sensor to ensure that the image onscreen is always the right way up. Aside from that, the Oregon Scientific shortly added a number of accessories to be used with the tablet including musical instruments.
There is no word yet for the processor to be used, or what resolution does the front-facing camera has. The MEEP! tablet is scheduled to be released this coming August with an estimated price of US$149. So, be the first to have this for your kids .
