The Bioware-developed MMO is not going down the same path as all other would-be World of Warcraft challengers just yet, as the switch
to free to play is far from permanent. In fact, this is a rare
opportunity for players to try one of the very few MMOs left in the
market that have not gone at least partially free to play.
EA
is opening the floodgates on Thursday, allowing players to roam the
Origin World, Capital World, and Fleet areas as well as all Warzones and
one Flashpoint (TOR’s answer to raids). Players are limited to level 15
before hitting the paywall and other limitations, including a kibosh on
chat, trading and Legacy XP will be in place.
