Smart has revised their Alway On plans to offer more
bucket options and drive prices down. The new plan starts at Php10 for
5MB of mobile internet usable in 24 hours.
Here are the bucket pricing from last year
and when you compare that to the new table below, you will notice some
of the plans were reduced while others remained the same (an indication
that the move is to level with competition, otherwise it would have been
across the board).
The 1GB bucket is now Php499 from Php750 last year (same with Globe
PowerSurf 499) while the 250MB bucket is now Php199 from Php300. The
50MB for Php99 for 30days was also introduced (now exactly the same as
Globe PowerSurf 99).
The revised Always On plans now make Smart’s
offering better compared to Globe’s PowerSurf. However, the main
difference between the two is that Smart’s Always On plans are available
to SmartBro prepaid users and not postpaid subscribers. It’s also
available to Smart Postpaid GSM subs as well.
