Canon brings two new models, the SX6000 and WX6000, to its REALiS line of Pro AV Series installation multimedia LCoS projectors. The new projectors uses new LCOS display panels with an improved pixel-spacing aperture ratio of 96 percent and Canon’s AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) optical technology version 4.1 to deliver high brightness, 1000:1 contrast, superior white balance and improved reliability and durability.
The SX6000 features a 4:3 1400×1050 SXGA+ resolution and 6000 lumens while the WX6000 is a 16:10 widescreen model with 1440×900 resolution and 5700 lumens brightness. They also come with a built-in Six-Axis Color-Correction IC and 3D Color LUT (look-up table) to provide accurate color reproduction and features a dynamic gamma feature to optimize gradation reproduction and contrast. There is also a Memory Color Correction feature that enhances colors like skin tones and nature colors to provide vivid, pleasing detail. Greater burn-in resistance is included, making them ideal for applications that require long periods of continuous projection.
Canon’s SX6000 and WX6000 are also available in D versions (SX6000D and WX6000D) featuring a DICOM Simulation mode designed to reproduce medical images such as X-rays, CAT scans and MRI images with superb 21-step grayscale gradation. These projectors provide DVI-D, HDMI 1.3, VGA inputs and RJ45 and RS-232C control terminals. They also come with built-in 5W mono speaker. The SX6000 will be released in Ocotber for $6799 and the WZ6000 in September for $4999.
