SK Hynix enters the SSD market, introducing its client-side 2.5-inch SATA III SSD and mSATA SSD. The 2.5-inch solid state drive is based on ONFI synchronous NAND Flash memory using 20nm class process, and comes in 128GB and 256GB capacities. It uses SATA III interface and delivers up to 10MB/s read and 470MB/s write speeds, and up to 55K IOPS read and 85K IOPS write performance.
SK Hynix also brings the mSATA SSDs that use Mini PCIe connector to PC OEMs. The 64GB and 128GB models will use SATA III 6Gbps interface and offer up to 505MB/s read and 470MB/s write speeds. The 32GB model, on the other hand, use SATA II 3Gbps and has 260MB/s read and 250MB/s write performance.
All these solid state drives support AES-128 Encryption for data security and include Wear Leveling, S.M.A.R.T., Intelligent Read Disturb Management for enhanced durability and liability.
