Motorola brings to Canada the RAZR V, which according to the phone maker is The RAZR for All. While there is another RAZR V for China, this Canadian version has a different look and works on GSM/WCDMA network instead of CDMA EVDO. Like its brothers, the RAZR V is super slim measuring just 8.4mm thin and is made with DuPont Kevlar fiber, “which gives an other-worldly sturdiness to the outer shell.” It also gets an invisible nano-coating shields against the unexpected splash.
The RAZR V is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and will be launched with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It gets a 960×540 ColorBoost LCD touchscreen protected by scratch-resistant glass, a 8 Megapixel camera with LED flash and Full HD video recording, a VGA front camera for video chat and 4GB internal memory. The handset comes with Motorola’s SMARTACTIONS, which is app that “intelligently automates everyday tasks and suggests ways to personalize your phone and make your life easier.” For connectivity, the Canadian RAZR supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS and DLNA for media streaming.
As a signature of Motorola’s handset, the RAZR V features CrystalTalk Plus noise reduction technology for clear voice call. It supports microSD up to 32GB. Heading to Canada in Q3, the phone works on quad-band GSM/EDGE and quad-band WCDMA HSDPA 3G networks. The handset is Business-Ready supporting government-grade encryption of email, contacts and calendar, remote wipe and access to corporate address information, calendar resources.
