La Salle Green Hills (LSGH) and Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) collaborated to launch PEARL, the school’s new eTextbook/Personal Learning device.
The project is aimed at making digital information such as eBooks, the new standard in LSGH curriculum. PEARL employs Samsung’s renowned Galaxy tablet tech, and will hopefully introduce a new method of learning and communication in future generations. By beginning this concept of consuming knowledge in LSGH, perhaps it will one day become a standard across all local educational insitutions.
“The LSGH students will be the first in the country’s basic education community to use the tablet PC as a personal learning device (PEARL). SEPCO and the LSGH administration believes this will prepare them well in the increasingly information based economy and electronically networked society,” said Jun Lozada LSGH IT Consultant.
