Maple Story Legends SEA brings three new characters, starts on May 14

If you’ve been playing Maple Story lately, you’ve probably heard of the Legends content update and the new classes it will bring to Southeast Asian players.

The Legends patch which is set to roll out on May 14 will kick off with one of the new class which is the Cannon Shooter, plus a bunch of new in-game features and enhancements to old ones.
We got to play with the Cannon Shooter earlier and this guy is very similar to Evan, but with a monkey that follows him to provide quests and job advancement information, and is also linked to some of his skills. He uses a new powerful but slow weapon called the Hand Cannon, which is extremely powerful at the 4th Job level.

New in-game features include a 4th potential tier called Legendary which can only be attained with  a new type of Miracle Club, the Super Miracle Cube. There’s also the quick move system so navigating within a map is going to be as easy as clicking on a useful NPC in the mini-map. You can now also purchase back items sold to NPCs for those “oops I mis-click” moments. Then there will also be radical skills which are skills that can be used by all characters within the same game account.
The second class, called the Mercedes, will be released at the end of May. This class is for those wanting to play a ranged high DPS (damage per second) character. The third class will be the Demon Slayer and will be released this July. It is the first dark character class in the game and will use Demon Fury points which it can generate from killing mobs instead of MP to power its skills.

Exciting times for loyal Maple Story players out there. Watch out for the update on May 14.
