Cherry Mobile launches affordable 4-inch Android phone, calls it Dragon

In an intimate press conference yesterday in Ortigas Center, local mobile company Cherry Mobile launched its latest smartphone offering in the market. They call it the Dragon Phone, or properly known as the Cherry Mobile W900. Nothing special with the specs here but it’s something you definitely won’t expect from a sub-P10k phone.

The CM W900 is powered by a 1.2GHz single core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, hence the nickname Dragon phone. It has a 4.0-inch capacitive LCD display with a 800 x 480 WVGA resolution. It’s one curvaceous phone. It even says so at the back if you don’t believe us.

The phone sports a 5MP camera with smile shutter, wink shutter, face effects and multiple camera modes. It can also take up to 720p HD video and supports a lot of media codex such as divx, mkv, mpeg4, asp, wmv and many more. Dobly Digital Plus for audio is also supported. When you plug the included headset, you’ll get the multimedia pop-up screen to give you easy access to all your media files. The Dragon phone also works also with your DLNA devices at home by the way.

The Cherry Mobile W900 is now available in stores for a price of Php9,990.00, making it the most Affordable 4-inch Android phone in the market today having a respectable 1.2GHz processor.
