In the past months we’ve covered a handful of affordable tablets from
China. It came in different shapes and sizes and in all honesty they
were pretty decently speced as well considering their price. Another Chinese manufactured tablet has recently landed in our doorsteps with the name Window N90 or YuanDao N90.
The Window N90 comes in a fairly simple
box. It comes with a charger, two USB cables one is short and one is
more lengthy and a pair of headsets. The short microUSB cable terminates
into a female USB 2.0. The tablet runs ICS out of the box which is a
common thing nowadays.
This tablet features the same screen size as the iPad. Its 9.7” IPS
Capacitive Screen has a pretty decent screen resolution at 1024×768
which has a pixel density of 162ppi. This translates to an above average
display quality and view angle. Along with the screen the front also
features a 2MP camera.
At the top if one is holding the tablet horizontally, the one of
three Sleep/Wake buttons on the tablet along with the volume rocker. On
its left side (while on the same orientation) is the second sleep/wake
button but this one also acts as the Power button. Also on the left side
is the 3.5mm audio port.
On its right side, the last of three sleep/wake buttons along with
handful of ports. The tablet has 2 microUSB ports, a microSD slot and
charging port.
On the same side, the 2 speakers and small reset hole can be found.
The rear 2MP snapper alongside the tablets logo and the ports’ label
can be found at back of the tablet. We’re not completely sure about the
make of the back panel. But it really doesn’t look or feel cheap.
Here’s a quick rundown of the Window N90’s specs:

Apart from the screen size and resolution, there are other
similarities with the N90 and iPad 2 in terms of form factor. Of the
two, the N90 is almost a millimeter thicker at 9.6mm compared to the
iPad 2’s 8.8mm.
The Chinese tablet is also a bit heftier at 630g than the Cupertino
tablet which only weighs 607g. Unlike the iPad 2’s tapered body, the
Windows N90 has a more squared body with the sides reinforced with
plastic bezel that shields the tablet against occasional bumps.
