The Rebel T4i gets the nine-point all cross-type AF array – that can found on the 60D- with a dual-cross f/2.8 point at center. It is the first Canon camera to include the new Hybrid CMOS AF system for increased auto focus speed and fast continuous AF in Live View. Canon also adds the new Movie Servo AF to the T4i for smooth and quiet continuous AF while recording video when used with new EF and EFS STM lenses. It is capable of Full movie recording at up to 30fps and comes built-in stereo microphone for clear sound recording.

The first three shooting modes will take multiple pictures and combine them to produce a photo with wide dynamic range and minimized noise. The Rebel T4i is also Canon’s first EOS DSLR to have touchscreen. Other than reviewing photos and LiveView, the 3-inch touchscreen display also allows for Touch Focus and Touch Shutter controls.
