While the category netbook is nearly dead, Toshiba tries to save it, introducing the new Mini NB510. Powered by Intel’s Atom N2600 dual-core processor, which is capable of handling full hd video playback and more demanding applications. It packs 1GB of DDR3 RAM, integrated graphics and up to 320GB hard drive
With a stylish design, the NB510 comes in red, blue and black finishes. It comes a 10.1-inch TruBrite LED-backlit display with 1024×600 resolution and provides VGA and HDMI video outputs. The netbook supports optional Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi and sports touchpad with multitouch and stereo speakers with Toshiba Audio Enhancement. Its battery offers up to 9 hours of use.
Also announced is the updated Mini NB520. It includes all features of NB510 and adds Bluetooth 3.0, multi-in-one card reader, Sleep-and-Charge USB port, Harman Kardon stereo speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio, VGA webcam, Sleep-and-Music microphone and headphone jacks, and 10 hours battery. The NB520 comes in brown.
